Zurich’s Group Accumulation Management (GAM) function provides actionable insights and thought leadership on both natural and man-made catastrophe risk. Utilizing advanced Cat Modeling capabilities from internal and external sources, we assess accumulation risk on a global scale.

GAM’s comprehensive approach is a critical component of Zurich’s Risk Management and Underwriting functions, supporting the optimization of our portfolios, driving sustainable and profitable growth, and addressing current and emerging risks, including cyber threats and climate change. This function relies on complex and business-critical IT systems. We are currently seeking a Cat Underwriting Manager and REDS (Risk Exposure Data Store) Product Owner to join our team, reporting directly to the Head of GAM. This role offers an outstanding leadership opportunity to build a collaborative team dedicated to agile product development and delivering a competitive edge to the core business.

**What you will do**
- Serve as the business and product owner for the Risk Exposure Data Store (REDS), a strategic and cross-functional data asset essential for assessing natural and man-made catastrophe risk.
- As a senior member of the GAM Leadership Team, collaborate closely with Group Functions (e.g., Underwriting, Risk Management, Reinsurance), the Head of GAM IT, and other Product Owners within GAM to ensure REDS meets business requirements.
- Enhance analytical capabilities within REDS to develop distinctive risk insights by leveraging advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.
- Lead risk and assurance activities within GAM, including strategic Cat Technical Underwriting Reviews, Group Total Risk Profiling, Risk and Sustainability Reporting and risk control management.
- Maintain the Zurich Risk Policy and Risk Policy Manuals for accumulation risk, and support the upkeep of Cat Underwriting guidelines to ensure GAM and Underwriting governance for accumulation risks.

**What you bring**
- A Master’s degree in a technical field, along with underwriting and/or actuarial qualifications.
- Extensive experience in the insurance industry and underwriting, with a strong background in catastrophe modeling for property-related lines of business.
- A strong understanding of how REDS delivers value through competitive risk insights across the organization in a cross-functional manner.
- A comprehensive understanding of accumulation management processes performed or supported by REDS.
- Experience with agile delivery models and managing and delivering change projects in an agile manner.
- Exceptional leadership and team-playing abilities, with a passion for collaboration and co-creation, enabling and empowering the team.
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business requirements with technical solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior stakeholders, including strong facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in English.
