Das Schweizerische Tropen
- und Public Health-Institut (Swiss TPH) ist ein weltweit renommiertes Institut auf dem Gebiet der globalen Gesundheit mit besonderem Fokus auf Länder mit niedrigen und mittleren Einkommen. Assoziiert mit der Universität Basel, verbindet das Swiss TPH Forschung, Lehre und Dienstleistungen auf lokaler, nationaler und internationaler Ebene. Rund 900 Personen aus 80 Ländern arbeiten am Swiss TPH in Bereichen wie Infektionskrankheiten und nicht-übertragbare Krankheiten, Umwelt, Gesellschaft und Gesundheit sowie Gesundheitssysteme und -programme.

Die Unit Umwelt und Gesundheit innerhalb des Departments Epidemiologie und Public Health des Swiss TPH sucht per sofort oder nach Vereinbarung eine*n Scientific Collaborator.

Die Position beinhaltet das Programmieren in R für Datenanalyse sowie die Entwicklung eines R-Packages zur Quantifizierung und Monetarisierung von Gesundheitseffekten aus der Luftverschmutzung und Lärm im Rahmen des EU-Projekts BEST-COST.

**Sie übernehmen insbesondere diese spannenden und vielseitigen Aufgaben**:

- Teilnahme an Forschungsprojekten auf internationaler und nationaler Ebene
- Quantifizierung der Gesundheitseffekte von Umweltfaktoren wie Luftverschmutzung und Lärm
- Entwicklung eines öffentlichen R-Packages
- Erfassung von Projektberichten und wissenschaftlichen Publikationen

**Diese Voraussetzungen bringen Sie idealerweise mit**:

- Hochschulabschluss
- Berufserfahrung im Bereich Epidemiologie und/oder im Bereich Data Science.
- Gute Programmierungskenntnisse in R (wenn möglich auch in Python) für die Datenanalyse und die Entwicklung von R-Packages und ev. online-Tools (z.B. R-Shiny).
- Kenntnisse in geographischer Analyse mit QGIS.
- Gute Sprachkenntnisse in Englisch und Deutsch.
- Sie sind teamorientiert, akribisch, engagiert und flexibel
