A laboratory technician position is available from January 2024 or to be agreed.
The primary objective of this position is to further the research conducted in the laboratory of Ziad Al Nabhani at the Department of Biomedical Research (DBMR) - University of Bern, Switzerland.
Laboratory tasks:
- Responsible for the maintenance, genotyping, oral gavage, injections and organization of multiple transgenic mouse colonies
- Instructs students in laboratory to methods, procedures, and techniques and provides technical guidance and direction as required
- Accomplishes day-to-day care and housekeeping of laboratory
**Requirements**:
- Completed training as a biology laboratory technician or equivalent
- Experience working with animal laboratory (FELASA) is mandatory - Ability to work independently
- Highly motivated and eager to acquire new skills in molecular biology - Oral and written communication in German, French and English
