In the context of Alpiq’s enhanced focus on renewables and our ambition to play a very active role in the energy transition, we are now looking for a Wind technical Expert to join us. This newly created role will specifically focus on wind farms and provide respective technical expertise in the context of greenfield, brownfield or acquisition projects across Europe. The role can be based in Olten, Lausanne, Madrid, Paris or Milano.
**Your main responsibilities**
- Overall responsibility for the whole architecture and design configuration of the wind farm
- Defining technical and quality requirements and conditions to include in EPC, turbine supply agreements and/or BoP contracts, linked to wind technology power plants
- Assessing feasibility of electricity production, based on wind resource assessment, defining tools and methodologies to simulate the production of the wind farm
- Following up on technical, contractually agreed terms (eg: calculation of power curve, OEM manufacture inspections, mechanical completion etc) during construction phase until take over
- Leading relation with third party consultants, defining the scope required for the specific wind technology area and validating their work
**Your qualifications**
- Higher degree in mechanical, civil or industrial engineering or equivalent
- At least 8-10 years of experience in the wind industry, including conceptual design, construction and commissioning of wind farms, as well as the simulation and forecasting of electricity production
- Experience in technical due diligence of projects under development, the assessment of technical and commercial contractual obligations as well as the management of external engineers and consultants
- Good strategic understanding and ability to combine the technical with the commercial view
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, ability to adapt communication to target audience
- Proactive, flexible and self-driven personality
- Fluent English required, any additional language a plus
