Analytical Chemist in Sorbent Industrialization

You develop and validate analytical testing methodologies for new and/or existing synthesis, to control the extent of the reaction and to determine its end-conditions.
- You prepare technical specifications and SOPs.
- You carry out testing to characterize sorbent materials.
- You contribute to continuous process improvement to ensure the quality standards of our sorbent technology.
- You are team player, able to communicate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
- You implement a safety-first culture and ensure that Climeworks and all work-related standards are being met.
- You will be responsible for your own goals and for the reporting of your work.
- You have completed a bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (preferably analytical chemistry, industrial chemistry, material sciences or similar).
- You bring practical experience in using various analytical methods for the characterization of materials (especially gas physisorption, Hg porosimetry, breakthrough analysis, GC/MS).
- You have already gained experience in a research laboratory and ideally you have at least 3 years of industrial experience.
- You are motivated to do hands-on laboratory work.
- Your previous knowledge of carbon capture is an advantage.
- You are open to travel up occasionally (10% of the time). You are fluent in English. German is a plus.
