**About the Role**

This is an exciting opportunity within the OVAL oversights product. In this role you will support the OVAL Lead Products Actuary and Portfolio Steering Actuary on a number of activities. Depending on your experience you focus may be more on the Product support activities or the portfolio steering activities. However, the role will provide scope for a broad exposure to the employee benefits business in Europe.

You will be a key part of the cross functional team responsible for the oversight of this portfolio and will work very closely with other members of the team from Products, Client Markets Business Management and Finance. It will be important for you to establish positive connections with other departments also - as well as various global functions.

You will:
- Review market reference standards and recommend changes- Review elipsLife offers referred to Swiss Re and manage approval/referral process as appropriate- Review new products/new market proposals and make recommendation on course of action- Review financial plans, in particular margin targets and recommend course of action- Assist in costing/UW audits to assess UW decisions and compliance with agreed costing/UW frameworks, approved MRS and delegated costing/UW authorities- Monitor the OVAL transaction, perform portfolio performance analyses- Perform regular exposure monitoring, portfolio analyses and portfolio deep dives and maintain the portfolio Factbook- Support the financial planning process (USGAAP and EVM) by validating planning assumptions and reporting your findings- Supervise the OVAL portfolio development through regular analysis of the new business and renewal offers

**About You**- Qualified actuary, preferably with up to 5 years of experience in either L&H reinsurance or primary insurance- Experience in costing/UW employee benefits products (group insurance) and CH A&H business.- Understanding of the methods of calculating policy liabilities and embedded values. US GAAP financial reporting and working knowledge of market consistent valuation methods is preferred-
- Team work - able to build working relationships across technical disciplines, and work effectively across the L&H value chain (including non-actuaries).- The ability to inspire, encourage and implement efficient processes and to use these to provide insight to the business.- Strong communication skills, including being capable of presenting results to/discussing results with internal interested parties and senior stakeholders.- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are required
