Tasks

**Your Commitment will include**:

- Manage the life cycle of the databases (installation, upgrades, patches, optimizations, uninstallation)
- Cooperates with the various infrastructure teams (system, middleware, storage) for the implementation and smooth running of the information system
- Ensuring availability and good performance of the databases at all times by minimizing downtime or resolving malfunctions
- Ensure escalation in case of incidents
- Ensure the implementation and proper functioning of the security of the databases (management of access rights)
- Implement changes (patches, technical operations such as space management, rights management, etc.)
- Provide technical support to the development teams (data copy, export/import tasks, export/import tasks, restore/flashback operations, rights management, etc.)
- Optimize database and instance performance (adequate memory size, good data distribution memory size, good data distribution, statistics management, etc.)

**Requirements**:
**Achieving the difference requires**:

- Bachelors or master’s degree in computer science and / or engineering or equivalent training
- 3+ years of experience in PostgreSQL and Oracle
- 3+ year of experience working as a database administrator in an environment operating with multiple PostgreSQL & Oracle databases of significant size / transaction volume
- Good knowledge of VMWare architecture and Unix / Linux
- Committed, proactive and curious, reliable, open, and creative personality with a team spirit and with a strong interest in advisory topics
- Fluency in French and good level of English.
