Life Client Manager

**Your responsibility**
- Underwrite, acquire, and maintain a profitable portfolio of life reinsurance treaties
- Ensure that all underwriting actions and decisions are properly documented in accordance with the Underwriting Guidelines
- Develop strong broker relationships and identify new business opportunities
- Provide underwriting support to the Senior Client Managers to maximize business secured from selected markets and clients
- Together with the Underwriting Assistants, ensure that all treaty data is accurately entered into the admin systems and all treaty information required from the client is timeously obtained
- Interact effectively with internal functions such as pricing, reserving and finance both prior and post writing treaty business
- Prepare data for pricing and, where authorized, perform pricing on treaties using approved pricing tools
- Perform various administrative tasks, such as review of contractual documents and endorsement requests, data input, and maintaining the data quality of the portfolio
**Your qualification**
- Completed University Degree in the field of Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Insurance Science, Actuarial Science or similar
- 2 to 5 years of working experience in a reinsurance company, reinsurance department of an insurance company or reinsurance broker in a role that included decision making underwriting experience as well as customer management.
- Capability to underwrite reinsurance opportunities, i.e. deal with treaty wordings, pricing and other technical aspects, as well as manage the referral and negotiation process
- Experience building and maintaining a profitable portfolio of life reinsurance business will be an advantage
- Experience in managing client or broker relationships will be an advantage
- Treaty underwriting experience within the life reinsurance industry will be an advantage
- Good knowledge of actuarial techniques, life reinsurance products, and legal and regulatory constraints will be an advantage
- Commercial skills: strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Confidence to develop and maintain a network of brokers and clients
- Ability to work quickly, decisively, and effectively during periodic peaks of business
- Fluent in English, proficiency in French or Spanish will be an advantage
