**Job Description Summary**: Are you a supply chain expert looking for a new challenge? As the Global Supply Chain Manager, you will lead the supply planning process, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and develop supply chain strategies aligned with our company's objectives. You will collaborate with regional and global teams to achieve optimal distribution and manage long-term product supply shortages.

We are looking for someone with a solid background in supply chain and experience in coordinating finished goods sourcing activities. You should have a strong understanding of SAP and other planning systems, as well as the ability to make allocation decisions in short supply situations.

The Global Supply Chain Manager EU MDS is responsible for delivering supply in line with global demand, ensuring healthy inventory levels, and optimizing costs. They will coordinate finished goods sourcing activities across EU MDS Plants and External Supplier Network, optimizing available capacity and assets. The Global Supply Chain Manager will support the platform and regional Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process and macro-level capacity management. They will recommend and align on inventory levels to support service levels in various regions, in alignment with the Global Business and Supply Chain objectives of MDS.

**Duties & Accountabilities**:
**Supply Planning Manager Activities**
- Lead the supply planning process, delivering the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to the plant in a timely manner.
- Lead initiatives to reduce inventory while ensuring backorders are under control.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, maximizing the utilization of SAP and other relevant planning/non-planning systems.
- Lead end-to-end supply chain optimization and develop supply chain initiatives aligned with BD strategy.
- Manage plant volumes according to the financial calendar and ensure planning decisions align with plant financials.

**Supply & Inventory Planning**
- Ensure service level achievement in various regions for assigned product groups, in alignment with global recommendations.
- Collaborate with the Global demand planning lead to understand product demands within the regions.
- Make allocation decisions with manufacturing in short supply situations.
- Define the appropriate planning strategy (MTO/MTS/ATO) for assigned product portfolio, aligned with manufacturing practices.
- Document and maintain lead times within the integrated supply chain that affect required inventory levels in various regions.
- Communicate with manufacturing to determine corrective action if required.
- Engage with regional and worldwide planning organizations on managing long-term product supply shortages.
- Work with global demand planning lead and regional supply chain teams to achieve an optimal distribution network.
- Maintain coordination with local warehouse management and transportation functions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing sites/regions and business to find appropriate solutions to supply issues and escalate when necessary.

**IBP Process Facilitation**
- Facilitate the Supply Consensus meeting, ensuring timely collection and review of information to determine production plans and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Represent the Global MDS business in the Supply Review, contributing to decisions that determine global production.
- Interface with Regional Supply Chain Planners on behalf of manufacturing plants globally.
- Support WW Supply Chain key initiatives to achieve best-in-class OTIF performance
