**The Role**:

- Contribute to the implementation and evolution of Glencore’s security strategy which is a core pillar with the Health, Safety, Environment, Communities & Human Rights (HSEC&HR) strategy.
- Provide Glencore with excellence in security risk management and business resilience
- Oversee implementation of Security Standard across the business including annual plans, targets and performance indicators
- Work with and provide advice to the business to facilitate the monitoring, evaluation and implementation of the Security Standard
- Advocate for Security considerations to be integrated into business risk assessments and operational decisions, and work to embed functional security excellence across the business
- Provide peer review and assistance to the business on Security scenarios including crisis events
- Support global continuous improvement through contributing to the design of systems and processes to monitor, assure and report on environmental management performance
- Deliver technical support to the business in the areas of security performance, including Threat and Vulnerability Assessments and TARPS
- Support the development and implementation of assurance processes for Glencore’s security management, as required, including the VPSHR and ICMM Performance Expectations
- Support data management and ensure timely and accurate delivery of any required information for internal and external reporting, including the Annual Report, Annual Sustainability Report, VPSHR and ICMM-required reporting
- Support monitoring and trends analysis of security incidents data reported by the global business
- Foster a proactive approach to the management of security with Glencore’s Corporate HSEC & Human Rights, Compliance and Sustainability Group, Departmental and Regional HSEC Leads, and other relevant internal stakeholders, to encourage leveraging of best practices across the business
- Provide coordination of security training programmes and workshops to assist in the implementation of technical standards across the business

**Minimum requirements**
- Extensive relevant experience in Corporate Security functions preferably in the mining or resources industry
- Degree qualification in Security Management or a related discipline will be highly regarded
- Experience with global operations and international standards such as VPSHR, ICoCA
- Significant experience working in the extractives industry
- Fluency in English, with proficiency in Spanish or French highly regarded
