**The opportunity**

We're currently looking for a Space Manager to lead our retail Space team in Lausanne, Switzerland. Someone with a passion for electric mobility, an interest in technology, and a desire to create the change we know is needed.

Polestar has a new take on automotive retail, unlike conventional car dealerships or showrooms, Polestar Spaces are carefully designed and unique retail environments. Our Spaces are centrally located, staffed with product specialists, and echo the design language of everything Polestar. The Space Manager in Lausanne will lead the Space team to consistently deliver an educational, immersive, and exciting experience to all their current and future customers. The Space team constitutes Polestar’s front line and is the brand advocate, supporting the Polestar mission by creating memorable experiences for visitors.

**The responsibilities**

As a Space Manager, you will ensure that visitors get inspiration and support to learn about Polestar from the moment they walk into the Space until the day that they receive their new Polestar. Polestar has created one of the most innovative vehicles ever made, and you will help deliver an equally innovative and unforgettable customer experience.

See below for a more thorough breakdown of the various tasks and areas you'll be responsible for:

- Coordinate, manage and provide direction to the Space team and drive operational efficiency
- Inspire and coach the team to create the energy and excitement around Polestar offers, including vehicle, financing solutions, service etc.
- Lead by example by providing excellent customer experience in both Test Drives and Handovers
- Drive commercial KPIs & maintain a healthy sales pipeline by leading the Space team to achieve their goals
- Coordinate preparation and delivery of incoming customer vehicles with suppliers and the local POD team
- Recruiting and training new staff as well as ensuring the Space team’s training are all up to date and equipped with industry knowledge

Experience in the automotive industry is not mandatory, but beneficial. For this role, but we expect you to have:

- More than 3-5 years of experience in a client-oriented retail environment or the automotive industry
- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership and people management role
- Additional experience working in retail environments with strong branded experiences, drama, public speaking, teaching, retail sales, event planning, or customer care will also be positively considered
- Excellent skills in French and English, both verbally and in writing. German skills are advantageous

This role will require a valid driving license, an acceptable safe driving record, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
