Regional Coordinator

The EF Educational Tours Regional Office Northern Central Europe team is based in Lucerne and our role is to recruit, support and manage our freelance Tour Directors that are based in Northern Central Europe. Our Tour Directors come from all walks of life and lead groups of North American students and their teachers

Our role is to ensure The Tour Directors have all the information and support they need to successfully deliver their tour and ensure that all travelers have the best possible customer experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Assisting the Regional Director with the day to day running of the Lucerne office
- Recruiting and training transfer Tour Directors in various cities in Northern Central Europe
- Logistical support of Tour Directors and troubleshooting
- Organizing airport transfers and booking hotel overnights
- Running annual criminal background checks on all Tour Directors
- Coordinating and delivering Tour Director onboarding sessions, departmental meetings in our region and regular meetups with our Tour Directors
- Data entry and data base maintenance
- Administrative tasks, e.g., mailing train tickets and/or tour material

**Desired skills and competencies**
- Ability to work independently while prioritizing tasks
- Clear communicator with a patient telephone manner
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Organized and able to problem-solve
- German language skills would be an advantage but not a must

**Requirements**:

- Permission to work in Switzerland
- Be based within commuting distance to Lucerne and Zurich
- Have excellent organizational skills
- Have good leadership, communication & interpersonal skills
- Fluent English language skills

This role is full-time Monday to Friday and requires some international travel involving a few trips a year to meet with colleagues and/or experience the product itself. It is predominantly office based with the option for hybrid working from home at various times throughout the year. For existing EF Tour Directors, the role can be adapted to incorporate up to three months touring throughout the year.
