**About the Brand**

Macmillan Education's English Language Teaching division is seeking a highly-motivated, ELT Sales Consultant to join our Swiss sales team, who will be promoting our print and digital products to institutions throughout Switzerland.

**Key tasks**:

- contributing to Macmillan Education’s business objectives by working towards agreed print/digital sales objectives in a defined region and/or market segment
- managing the sales engagement process with current and potential customers
- cultivating direct customer relationships via regular contact and consultative sales visits
- delivering product presentations, trainings and attending local events and conferences
- generating new sales leads via research and various promotional activities
- planning and executing product promotion and other marketing campaigns
- working to ensure customer satisfaction by effectively communicating and collaborating with other departments across the business unit to provide solutions to and resolve customer issues
- updating the customer database, forecast pipeline, and other documentation accurately and regularly to feed into the forecasting in the region
- providing periodical account reviews and substantial information relating to sales plans and promotional activities in a report;
- reporting back on customer comments and concerns regarding our services to assist in product development and ensure the on-going improvement of our products.
- collecting and collating market intelligence; identifying opportunities and threats and reporting back on trends in the region
- Maintaining knowledge of our new and existing print/digital products as well as key competitor titles

This role will be based at our Springer Nature office in Cham but with allowance for some home-based working alongside regular travel to visit customers. Benefits include a company car and a bonus scheme.

**Qualifications and experience**:

- BA or MA degree in education or business,
- recognized EFL/teaching qualification,
- at least a year of teaching experience,
- or at least a year of sales experience
- clean driving licence,

**Skills and knowledge**:

- some knowledge of Swiss education system and/or educational publishing,
- English (C1 level both spoken and written), and German or French (B1 level both spoken and written),
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic and team-oriented
- Target and solution-oriented, well-organised and manages time effectively
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Confident user of technology
