Our client is one of the biggest Swiss banks. To extend the onsite team in Zürich, we are looking for a skilled long-term Contractor for the role of Compliance Auditor Consultant.

Tasks

**Role Overview and Responsibilities**:
You will have opportunities to supervise and monitor audits to ensure efficient and high-quality audit execution.

Perform holistic assessments of and deep dive into various areas with elevated compliance risks.
- Managing the training, organization, scheduling, and task assignment for auditing staff.
- Developing compliance auditing plans based on thorough research on studies conducted by government agencies and professional organizations.
- Conducting, managing, and overseeing external and internal audits.
- Reviewing all relevant programs and activities affected by industry regulations, including records, reports, and software.
- Recommending and implementing changes to address procedures and practices that are not compliant with industry regulations.
- Analyzing potential risks within the company and its practices to avoid possible compliance issues.
- Tracking reported company violations and the responses and plans regarding these allegations.
- Analyzing existing compliance records and making all necessary updates.
- Compiling reports on the results of external and internal audits and presenting these reports to the relevant supervisors and department heads.
- Attending educational and professional development programs to improve your job knowledge and enhance the compliance department's reputation.

**Requirements**:
**Your Profile**:

- Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
- Completion of relevant industry-specific certification, such as Certified Internal Auditor
- Minimum of 5 years' auditing experience.
- Good expertise in Compliance / Risk Management or in Audit in the banking industry paired with deep interest, passion, and awareness for compliance and risk topics
- An in-depth understanding of the industry rules, guidelines, and regulations
- Some basic knowledge in Financial Crime Compliance, Client Tax Compliance and/or Fraud Risk
- Strong attention to detail, analytical, and statistical skills
- Experience with relevant financial services software
- Strong communication and multitasking skills
- Dedication to objectivity
- EU/Swiss citizenship or valid Swiss work permit

**Nice to have(s)**:

- German
- IT Consulting
- Experience in a large consulting company (e.g., EY, KPMG, PWC, or Deloitte)
- Mifid II or Fedleg experience
