Hobson Prior are collaborating with a brilliant biotech organisation who are looking for an individual to join their team on a contract basis located in Bern. The opening position is for a Scientist - Process Development and Optimisation. Our client is focused on manufacturing various therapeutic products.

Please note that to be considered for this role you must have the right to work in this location.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- For this role, you will assist with and coach new team members to be able to conduct experiments efficaciously.
- Conduct regular maintenance and calibration actions on crucial instrumentation.
- Responsible for independent planning, conducting, and review of experiments.
- Author and evaluate protocols and documents.
- You will play an active role within the development and optimisation of the manufacturing procedure.
- Any other assigned duties.

**Requirements**:

- Acquaintance with affinity chromatography as well as ÄKTA Systems and software would be preferable.
- Familiarity with solid-liquid separation practices would be ideal.
- Knowledge of data review and analysis as well as implementing statistical strategies.
- Past involvement in using data processing software such as JMP or R.
- Acquaintance with quality by design principles, which involves design of experiments would be ideal.
- A motivated individual with interpersonal abilities.
- Fluency in the German and/or English language as well as the native language.
