Laboratory Support (40 - 60%)
**Job description**:
As an addition to our skilled Lead Generation team, we are looking for a motivated Laboratory Support, ideally starting from January 1st, 2024.
This diverse position will include the following tasks and responsibilities:
- Production of agarose gels for DNA separation;
- Preparation of DNA and protein markers, antibiotic dilutions, etc.;
- Cleaning and autoclaving of general laboratory material;
- Autoclaving and safe disposal of biological laboratory waste;
- Certain activities include the use of filtration equipment, calibration of pipettes, balances and pH meters;
- Recording and documention of activities by using modern electronic tools;
- If required, take over other organizational activities in the laboratory.
If required, you will also support the laboratory management with organizational and technical tasks, which will include the following responsibilities:
- Maintenance of our -80°C freezers;
- Regular inventory of the material in our -80°C freezers and our -20°C cold room;
- Organization and continuous optimization of our cold room storage space;
- Receipt and distribution of material deliveries in the laboratory.
This position summary is not intended to be all inclusive. An employee may perform other related duties as negotiated to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
**Requirements**:
For this versatile position, we are looking for applicants with the following requirements:
- Practical laboratory experience;
- Precise and careful working methods and a high level of quality awareness;
- Good oral and written knowledge of German and English;
- Independent and flexible way of working;
- MS Office user skills (Windows, Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams);
- High level of communication, organization and teamwork skills.
