**Global Sales Manager, Digital Service (flexible location)**:

In this role you develop, plan and ensure execution of Global Division, Business Unit or Product Group sales strategy, setting both qualitative and quantitative targets for products, systems and/or services and ensuring maximum profitability, market share and customer satisfaction. **The role is open globally, but the location is set in Europe**

**This position reports to**:
Head of Digital business, ABB Marine and Ports

**Your responsibilities**:

- Create, plan and implement global sales strategy and strategic business development initiatives for the Global Division/Business Unit/Product Group.
- Define key sales targets and establishes appropriate metrics and measurement tools to monitor performance. Proactively anticipate and identify shortfalls in performance and takes appropriate remedial action.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities with existing and potential new customers on a global basis, determine plans for implementation and allocate resources.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers in customer and potential customer organizations. Plan and implement customer surveys and act on the results to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. Participate in the negotiation of key global contracts.
- Identify, monitor and maintain the sales market price levels, evaluating with Product Management pricing impact on the results. Support local sales organizations to ensure achievement of sales volume and product mix targets.
- Monitor client financial status and report any changes regarding risk to relevant internal partner teams. Identify and manage potential risks relating to contract agreements across customers/channels.
- Develop, implement and review sales processes and tools, and all related training and development activities.
- Ensure (with HR Manager support) that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Coach, motivate and develop direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies. Drives and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.

**Your background**:

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in a relevant field
- 5+ years of experience in sales of software-based products or services
- Good knowledge of digital technologies and solution-based selling
- Maritime background, particularly in ship operation, will be considered as a plus
- Experience in contract management and able to adapt to customers’ needs
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel
