**Your contribution**
In this key role, you will be responsible for overseeing product management, driving operational excellence, and providing strategic leadership to a talented team. This position reports directly to the Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Development, a member of the Management Board.
- Overall Responsibilities- Lead the product management and operations functions for Tecan’s consumables business
- Lead, develop and guide a direct team of 9 people as well as 15+ people in a matrix organisation
- Work in close collaboration with LSB and PB commercial functions, R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing engineering, Legal, and Finance to ensure alignment
- Identify, scope and lead projects of critical strategic importance to consumables business to further develop and define and drive the mid
- and long-term strategy
- Lead the preparation of high-impact documents enabling discussion and decision making in executive management meetings (Management Board and Board of Directors)

Product Management- Drive portfolio management, with a focus on streamlining and simplifying the product offering
- Refine and execute the consumables sustainability program to transform the product portfolio
- Maintain and evolve sales enablement initiatives (internal trainings, collaterals, guides) in close alignment with your counterparts in the two sales divisions.
- Further develop and maintain business intelligence information, identifying adequate sources, to map competitive position and enable strategic decisions.
- Operations- Manage & further develop relationships with manufacturing partners on global level
- Plan and lead negotiation of large-scale long-term OEM agreements
- Further develop the manufacturing strategy and global footprint
- Plan long-term investment requirements and define technical requirements leveraging internal group of experts
- Evolve operations processes & tools and support group wide S&OP transformation

**Your background**

- Master’s degree in a relevant field such as STEM or Business
- 7+ years of relevant work experience, ideally acquired in a product management role with deep insights into manufacturing and/or a management consulting role
- Fluent English language skills are a must, German is considered a strong plus
- Strong leadership skills
- Driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Ability to effectively guide and leverage project teams across levels, functions, and regions, without formal reporting relationships
- Ability to influence key decisions and align stakeholders across the organization to get proper buy-in
- Independently prioritize and make tradeoffs in a strategic, semi-quantitative environment
