**About** the role**:

- Lead project management for Climate Action Program for Sites (CAPS) program within Takeda’s Planet overall sustainability program
- Develop, lead, and execute the CAPS net-zero carbon program governance and implementation plan in partnership with Climate Program leadership building and expanding on Takeda’s net-zero roadmap strategy
- Develop, maintain, and communicate measurement of CAPS program key performance indicators, maximizing the use of digitalization and data analytics, and improving forecasting methods and accuracy
- Lead the design and execution of change management and communication activities to ensure that scope 1 and 2 carbon reduction actions at sites are fully integrated into the decision-making processes for operating units and

**How you will contribute**:

- Deliver best-in-class project management support for the CAPS initiative
- Lead the maintenance and continuous improvement of an analytical model for carbon, waste, and water accounting, encompassing operations, production forecasts, and project impacts
- In the model, implement and sustain the organizational changes required within Global Manufacturing to achieve Takeda’s carbon reduction ambitions, for example, establishing new KPIs within site scorecards.
- Business process ownership for the carbon accounting and forecasting platform in project data management platform SPOT as well as for water and waste sections. Responsible for data accuracy, reporting platforms, user training and support.
- Where the existing climate roadmaps and long-range plans reveal shortfalls in scope 1 and 2 carbon reduction performance against the objectives for sites and CAPS overall, support the identification of opportunities and scenarios to remediate them utilizing engineering education or experience to help drive innovation in infrastructure and process improvement
- Lead organization and facilitation of meetings, workshops, and training sessions with the CAPS program team and program sponsors
- Support the implementation of internal operational changes at site level required to achieve stated scope 1 and 2 carbon reduction ambitions
- Execute training and change management activities to ensure the processes and electronic systems are delivering customer requirements and expectations
- Partner with functions across Takeda, including EHS, Site Engineering, Data & Digital, Finance, and Procurement to ensure CAPS site carbon abatement strategy, incentives, and measures are aligned with enterprise scope 1 and 2 carbon reduction strategy.

**Technical/Functional (Line) Expertise**
- Highly proficient at rapid, global-scale change management and stakeholder management
- Expert in project and program management methodology and knowledgeable on engineering best-practices
- Proficiency in data systems and data visualization, especially through Microsoft PowerBI
- Expertise on scope 1 and 2 carbon measurement and management
- Expertise or experience in facilities and utilities engineering as well as energy technologies
- Expertise in GxP pharmaceutical manufacturing or other industrial processes preferred but not required

**Leadership**
- Able to lead colleagues through influence at, below, and above peer level in both sites and functions
- Able to establish and get buy-in for the business case for CAPS at all levels of the enterprise
- Able to both detect and rapidly adapt to changes in other parts of the enterprise

- Drives consensus on the global processes, systems, and tools
- Selects and manages vendors and partners to augment in-house expertise and compensate for resource limitations

**Interaction**
- Engages internally with senior level, mid level, and functional leaders across functions, including Global Engineering and Site Engineering, EHS, IT, Finance, Procurement, Operating Units and Site Leadership Teams to establish standard processes, systems, and tools
- Engages externally with industry groups and consultants to ensure methods and systems are best-in-class

- Uses information technology and business processes to solve complex, poorly defined problems.

**Complexity**
- Must be able to implement a scope 1 and 2 carbon accounting and reduction strategy that accounts for existing business processes and operational objectives.
- Must understand the cultural, regional, and regulatory variation across the global footprint of manufacturing sites to oversee change management activities.

**What you bring to Takeda**:
Education / experience
- Minimum of a four year Bachelors Degree, preferably in engineering (or equivalent experience). Master’s Degree in a technical discipline and/or MBA is a plus.
- 5+ ears Project Management experience including 2+ years of Program Management experience. 3+ years in Biotechnology / pharmaceutical industrial operations desirable but not required.
