**A bit about the role**
Banking Operations is a strategic Avaloq service line providing Banking Operations outsourcing services to banks. We are organized as a global Business Area, running state-of-the art Backoffice services with industry leading automation, quality, and risk standards. We are experts in providing a true value add to our clients and thus, always look to add creative and client-oriented personalities with drive and passion to our team. The OTC Derivatives team is responsible for the processing and life-cycle management of in-scope products within agreed SLAs and procedures. Our activities include orders validation, matching of confirmations, cash and position reconciliation with relevant investigations to close open breaks, listed option transfers and collaboration with the other Banking Operations team to increase efficiency.
**Your key tasks**
- Manages a series of OTC and ETD related activities to ensure that in-scope services are in line with the SLAs and KPIs to prevent losses/breaches and mitigate risks. Manages escalations;
- Contributes to corporate projects supplying the functional expertise, producing results in line with budget and quality expectations. Activities may include the development and finalization of proposals meant to improve processes and products aiming to enhance the efficiency and profitability of Global Banking Operations (GBO);
- Create and foster an environment of continuous improvement within own area, being in regular contact with team members, knowing and solving their major problems. Ensure improvement of efficiency, productivity, quality, and margins. Formalize suggestions of other team members;
- Perform regular meetings / workshops with responsible stakeholders (e.g. Avaloq Business Engineering) in order to discuss possible improvements / enhancements of Avaloq modules. Makes sure User Acceptance Testing is duly performed;
- Analyse all possible system bugs/defects/regressions highlighted by the teams and open the needed tickets and defects. Ensure all tickets related to the area are tested before they are implemented in production, understanding also potential impacts on other areas, and collaborating with experts of those areas during the tests;
- Be the main contact person in the area for robotics, AI and control room, collect the needs of the area and collaborate closely with Business Engineering team. Be also the main contact person for Global Risk Management, performing regular reviews of the risk assessments of the area.
**Qualifications**:
**A bit about you**
- Bachelor’s degree in (Banking and Finance preferred but not necessary) and relevant managing experience in back-office order processing in the Derivatives area;
- Proactivity combined with positive attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Problem solving and time management skills;
- High attention to details and flexibility;
- Good communicator with ability to build robust relationships with peers and other stakeholders;
- Excellent knowledge of English and Italian. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
**It would be a real bonus if you have**
- Good knowledge of Avaloq system.
- Knowledge of French and German.
