Expeditor / Buyer, PP Europe - Full Time - Allschwil, Switzerland

We are looking for an Expeditor / Buyer to join our Procurement team in Allschwil.

**Your main tasks and responsibilities**:

- Negotiate contracts with awarded vendors in line with preferred suppliers’ lists.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings and mitigate risks.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of cost, quality, and delivery.
- Issue and keep purchase orders updated in SAP.
- Coordinate schedule requirements with external suppliers and Sulzer key functions.
- Manage the RFx process, and lead selection and award recommendation process with project team.
- Monitor and manage internal and external expediting as per project requirements.
- Schedule quality acceptance and inspections visits according to agreed schedule.
- Manage expediting from project team location, via designated project team members at supplier facility, and/or by supplier visits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, operations, and finance to identify procurement needs and align strategies with business objectives.
- Drive supplier selection, evaluation, and development initiatives to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain network.

**To succeed in this role, you will need**:

- Business and/or technical qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, ideally in an international/global environment.
- Proven track record of successful expediting and execution of procurement in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Fluency in English and German.
- Great relationship management and negotiation skills.
- Impeccable time-management, with the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
- Strategic thinking and understanding of risk management.
- Very good team player.
