An exciting position for a scientist with a strong technical background and hands-on experience in biochemical analytical methods to join our Biologics Analytical Department located in Lucerne/Schachen, Switzerland has arisen.

The integrated Biologics Analytical Department provides support to the Biotechnology Department by performing release and stability testing of biological drug substances and product and is supporting study and quality monitoring to guarantee adherence to regulatory requirements and internal guidelines. Furthermore, the department conducts raw-/starting material and in-process testing for biological drug substances.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Performing analytical method validation and method bridging in the laboratory
- Establishment of capillary electrophoresis, capillary isoelectric focusing, UV and SoloVPE as well as qPCR methods and method transfers to other laboratories
- Improvement of methods and troubleshooting around equipment and procedures
- Release and stability testing of biologics to determine relative potency according to Current Good Manufacturing Practice
- Writing technical protocols, reports and Standard Operating Procedures
- Supporting the local and global department strategies and initiatives

**Your Profile**:

- Bachelor’s Degree with industrial experience. Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biological Sciences, or equivalent
- Experience as a Laboratory Technician
- Hands-on experience with capillary electrophoretic methods for biological purity and impurity determination
- Hands-on experience with qPCR methods for determination of residual host cell DNA
- Work experience in a Good Manufacturing Practice laboratory
- Experience with analytical method qualification and validation and method transfer
- Experience in protein biochemistry and protein analytics and characterization
- Strong oral and written communication skills in English and preferably German
- Strong team player
