Junior - Economist

Oliver James is working with a leading global Reinsurance in Zurich as they are looking for a Economist specialising in Strategy and Global Markets. This is an exceptionally interesting role where you have possibility to build your career in a highly motivated and in a prestigious international team.

In this broad and exciting role you will mould essential key strategic projects around the topic macroeconomics.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and improve models to improve financial markets and macroeconomics
- The analysis of macroeconomics topics and forecasting for global economies
- Project research surrounding economics, sustainability, climate change and resilience related topics
- Support the Head of Macro Strategy and Group Chief Economist with various tasks

Your Profile:

- A completed degree in Finance, Economics or in an equivalent field
- A minimum of two years of experience in asset management, economic research or in a corresponding area
- Working proficiency in English: both written and spoken (Other languages are desirable)
- Proficient in MS Office Applications
- Knowledge of economic programming skills and software programming languages such as Stata, Metlab, Python, EViews, and R.
