Mission

The Commodity, Food & Agri sector team offers a position in TCF Geneva/Switzerland for a professional who enjoys working in an international environment. As center of excellence for TCF, ING Geneva provides banking services and complex financing solutions to Trade & Commodity Finance companies globally.

As T&R Expert, you will work closely with commercial front office colleagues from both CMC (Commodity Merchant Companies) and GMG (Global Merchants Group) as well as T&R colleagues in other sector teams.

T&R plays a key role in supporting the delivery of banking services to ING clients by assisting Relationship Managers with aspects related to commodity trading pre-transactional (prospecting and data quality), transactional (various assessments included in the Credit Package) and post transactional (decisions follow-up, reporting, etc.) in the frame of customer relationships.

T&R acts as liaison between front office and other departments (service provider in Colombo/Manila, Risk, Compliance, Audit, Finance, KYC, Project Management Office, etc.) with respect to regulatory projects and compliance with internal (global and local) policies.

Tasks and responsibilities
- Supporting front office staff in execution of lending transactions and commercial activities by managing Vantage data input and maintenance, portfolio reporting and monitoring (internal, regulatory or ad-hoc).
- Ensure timely implementation of internal policy changes and new regulations. Identify additional requirements, recommend improvements and process changes.

Pre-transaction:

- Monitoring TCF Geneva portfolio for data quality in the global tool (Vantage): industry code, customer segmentation, country of incorporation / residence, global relationship PAM/LAM, status of KYC (Know Your Customer) assessments.
- Ensure data quality within global reporting tool for the TCF Portfolio (Value Reporter).
- Monitoring annual/biennial reviews of credit limits for the TCF Portfolio.
- Support Front Office on portfolio reviews.
- Closely collaborate with Relationship Managers for prospect clients:

- Preliminary financial figures review and input, run credit ratings based on financial and qualitative data.
- Coordinate with KYC team for CDD, FATCA, CRS and ESR first assessments.

Transactional:

- Input financial figures in FINAN tool.
- Prepare credit ratings and follow-up on expiry dates.
- Prepare deal profitability simulations in Loan Pricer.
- Assist FO in drafting the Green Light form (commercial committee).
- Assist FO in compiling credit proposals (initial, reviews, modifications), including:

- Fill in Vantage forms (Decision Sheet, Risk Sheet, Validation Report, Limit Details Sheet, Leveraged Transaction Report, Forbearance Report, Cover Report, Covenant Report).
- Ensure compliance with the Credit Granting Criteria and register deviations.
- Prepare Environmental and Social Risk (ESR) Transaction Assessment.
- Prepare Procedure for Compliance Risk Assessment (PCRA).
- Prepare peer analysis.
- Prepare Solely Payments of Principal and Interest (SPPI) test.
- Steer 1LR (first line reviews).

Post-Transactional:

- Follow-up on
- Approval conditions (input in sharepoint and reporting).
- Covenants + TCF specific Early Warning Indicator 1 (EWI1) (coordinate with Colombo/Manila the input, monitoring & validation, reporting).
- Ad hoc reporting.

Various:

- Draft Country Limit Requests when needed.
- Communicate to FO on group/local policies updates.
- Coordinate the roll out of various group initiatives (new tools, new processes, new models).

Professional experience and academic background
- University degree in economics, business administration or a similar field.
- Accounting background.
- Desirable: Knowledge of regulatory, compliance or lending policies.
