Your Role and Responsibilities
- Provide services with a prime focus on system stability and high availability and with a secondary focus on architecture and campus design.
- Visit your assigned clients on site regularly to perform relevant pre-agreed tasks, and update and maintain their understanding and knowledge of the client-specific requirements and environment.
- Assist your clients during critical processing phases such as migrations, deployments, reorganisations.
- Support your clients in performing analysis, health checks, and other aspects of their main operating tasks.
- Provide technical consultancy support to large client projects.
- Enable communication to IBM Mainframe Software teams and IBM Labs.
- Advise clients on potential continual service improvement actions.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Expert knowledge of IBM Mainframe and z/OS.
- Knowledge in at least two of the following technologies: DB2, CICS, Websphere, GDPS, performance tuning and hardware configuration management.
- High level of service orientation and consultancy mindset; the role requires building a strong network with your client on technical expert and management level.
- Fluent German and / or English language skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Working experience in a Mainframe technical expert or consultancy role.
- Experience to work in a global virtual team.
- ITIL foundation certification.
