**About the role**:
Our client is a major commodities trading company. For them, we are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join their team as a Junior SQL Server Database Administrator. This position is ideal for recent graduates looking to kick-start their career in a trading company environment. The DBA team is responsible for both the long term strategic planning, execution of changes through to the ongoing support of all SQL based database technology. This includes a forward looking focus on improving their capabilities through technical innovation and improved support practices, spearheading automation wherever possible. As a Junior SQL Server DBA, you will be responsible for assisting in the management, maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization of our databases from SQL Server.

**Work tasks**:

- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrading of SQL Server software and related products
- Monitor and maintain database performance, ensuring high availability and data integrity
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving database-related issues
- Assist in the implementation of database security measures and access controls
- Educate developers and business on database best practices

**We are looking for**:

- Recent graduate from a data management course such as business analytics, data analyst, database administrator or data science.
- Excellent SQL skills
- Database modelling skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft BI tools (Reporting Services, PowerBI) is an asset
- Strong time management and prioritization skills: Being able to effectively manage multiple tasks and prioritize them based on urgency and importance
- Fluent English and French
- Fast learner with excellent stress resistance
