Electrical Test Engineering Intern

As the Electrical Test Engineering Intern, you will design, develop, improve and maintain our functional testing. You work within our Zurich engineering team and contribute to our product engineering, test development and help resolve issues arising during manufacturing. You will work on the system that ensures that hardware products which are developed in your team are 100% ready before they get into the hands of customers.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Design and build testing systems to assure quality of our products: you write code in python and work with the electrical engineers to implement an automated test rig
- Create supporting documents (concepts, CAD drawings, BOM, assembly instructions etc.)
- Work with our production team to rollout and support the testing process you developed
- Help our software and hardware teams debug issues detected by the testing process: you get to work on embedded systems and Linux
- Help to support and maintain similar testing systems which are already in use
- Work with our CI/CD team to integrate suitable tests into their framework
- Work with our workshop team to build test assemblies
- Help out in other areas of our product development, integration, testing and production as needed
- Participate in the day to day of your team. As an intern at Auterion you are fully integrated into the team. You participate in standups, brainstorming for problem solving and other engineering activities.
- Have weekly planning sessions with your internship supervisor.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, computer science or equivalent
- Comfortable in Python (our current systems are built upon the pytest framework)
- Knowledge of reading and understanding schematics, designing and debugging PCBAs
- Knowledge of testing and debugging electronics: you love to use a scope and a soldering iron when needed
- Familiarity with PCB production and testing
- A solution-oriented mindset and energy to tackle any problems that might arise: at Auterion, a startup with flat hierarchies, interns are given a lot of room to drive their projects proactively
- Good communication skills in english and an attention to detail
- Drone or robotics knowledge is a huge plus
