**Tailings Storage Facility - Assurance Campaign Manager**

We are looking for a motivated **Tailings Storage Facility (TSF)** professional to join our assurance team as a Campaign Manager as we enhance and embed management of hazards related to TSFs in our business. Our current key functions include Catastrophic Hazard Audits of our TSFs on behalf of the Board and Senior Management. With an industry-leading portfolio of industrial assets and sites across the globe we are excited to undertake this journey and hope to find a team member who is motivated to lead and excel in this area. A critical element of the role will entail bringing leading edge technologies to bear in the support of assurance and site characterisation work.
**Currently our key functions include management and co-ordination of**:
- Catastrophic Hazard and other Audits of our TSFs through external Subject Matter Experts (reporting results to the HSEC Board Committee).
- Independent Geotechnical Review Boards for Very High and Extreme consequence TSFs
- Dam Breach Assessment projects executed through external Subject Matter Experts
- Due diligence studies related to TSFs in assets being considered for acquisition
- Tailings Management Academy - an in-house development programme to support capability building across the Glencore TSF portfolio
**Delivering value to our stakeholders requires us to**:
- Understanding and continuously evolve audit requirements and processes
- Technical insight into aspects influencing the safe operations of TSFs across the business
- Support to and co-ordination of audit teams and review boards with our 5 key industrial departments
- Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts, senior management and departmental representatives on a regular basis to facilitate continuous improvement
- Be aware and contribute to industry best practice in the arena of TSF governance, operations and disclosure
- Tertiary Academic Qualifications - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical level in Engineering
- 10 years’ experience in Tailings Management consisting of the planning, design, operations and closure for such facilities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and relationship building skills both including internal and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, highly pro-active and resilient attitude.
- Superior business, facilitation, analytical and leadership/ management and negotiation capabilities.
- English language skills - French or Spanish language skills would be considered an asset
- Ability to travel frequently to Glencore operations as required by the assurance programme
