**Your field of responsibility**

We are currently establishing a centralized Governance function under Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO), responsible for identifying opportunities for simplification of governance at Credit Suisse (CS), introducing a robust bankwide Governance Framework with consistent minimum standards, ensuring effectiveness of Governance committees through ongoing monitoring activities, and facilitating ongoing sustainability.

Join us as the Head of Framework and Standards, reporting to the Head of Governance within GCOO, to provide first line centralized oversight of bankwide Governance. This senior management role is a highly visible position taking responsibility for developing the overarching governance standards for CS. Through partnership and collaboration, you provide leadership as part of GCOO to help the Bank achieve its strategy of more effective and less complex governance within CS.

As Head of Framework and Standards, you will be responsible for:

- Ownership for developing and maintaining a best-practice bank-wide framework for the management and overseeing of Governance, including all policies, procedures, guidelines, and toolkits
- The definition of roles and responsibilities principles and ensuring consistent adoption across the bank via creation of an accountability framework and compliance assessment checklist
- Maintaining traceability vis a vis all other established CS Governance Frameworks; leading effort to harmonize CS Governance Policies across LEs, Business / Division, and Corporate Functions
- Designing Governance Committee Rationalization Principles to ensure the appropriate committees are in place for effective bank-wide governance
- Coordinating policy consultations and demonstrating effective stakeholder management when communicating new or amended Governance frameworks across the bank
- Developing training modules to support awareness and consistent adoption of minimum standards
- Leading the external dialogue with peers and industry associates on the Governance framework to provide an ongoing assessment of best practice developments
- Constant monitoring of the regulatory developments to be able to update the Governance framework if needed
- Strong collaboration with Senior COO / Governance stakeholders across the Firm, including representatives from the Chairman’s Office as well as all Legal Entities, Business, Divisions, and Corporate Functions (e.g., CRO, CTOO, CFO, CCO, GC, GCOO)
- Possibility to help shape the design of the SRR Governance Target State and the set-up of the new GCOO Governance organization

**Your skills and experience**
- 15 years’ experience in a first line or second line of defense function with a Governance focus, responsible for developing and maintaining Governance frameworks and standards
- Track record in critically appraising risks associated with Governance and proven experience in addressing regulatory requirements for Governance
- Proven ability to effectively transform Governance concepts into pragmatic solutions for implementation at enterprise scale
- Ability to identify, mitigate and raise key Governance risks, considering a wide range of qualitative criteria and combine a mix of opinions, facts and data points to create an independent and balanced view
- Demeanor to challenge, influence and drive progress while working in partnership with varied Senior stakeholders across the enterprise with differing priorities
- Comfortable creating high quality output in a fast-paced environment under tight timeframes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with strong interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage a busy and varied workload accurately and efficiently, deliver to timelines, and effectively prioritize competing demands
