Location: Root D4, CH, 6039Novocure is a global publicly-traded commercial-stage oncology company developing a profoundly different cancer treatment therapy called tumor treating fields (TTFields) for patients with solid tumors. TTFields therapy is a non-invasive, novel, antimitotic treatment modality which utilizes proprietary technology attempting to slow or reverse tumor progression by inducing tumor cell death. Novocure's commercialized product, Optune, is approved for the treatment of adult patients with glioblastoma (GBM) in the USA, Europe and Israel. Novocure has ongoing or completed clinical trials and is further expanding its efforts into several other solid tumor indications - non-small cell lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, ovarian cancer and other types of solid cancers.
For our Medical Affairs Team in Switzerland, we are looking for a:
**Associate Congress Planner, Global Medical Affairs**
As the Associate Congress Planner within Global Medical Affairs, you will manage planning and communications for medical congresses and events, mainly within the EMEA region. In order to be successful in this role, you will have to keep a strong focus on both organization as well as tracking of congresses related activities. The role will be located in our offices in Root, Switzerland, with only 2 days per week required in the office, the rest of your work will be performed remotely.
Your responsibilities:
- You will support cross-functional booth strategy, execution, and budget management for congress related-activities & provide end-to-end project management support including securing sponsorships, processing contracts, metrics, and pre/post congress activities.
- You will coordinate communications and meetings with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure high quality and timely deliverables for successful delivery of medical assets to and from congresses (brochures, one-pagers, etc.)
- In addition, you will utilize and manage the Medical Affairs Virtual Booth Google Analytics account to measure appropriate metrics for congresses.
- Working with a cross-functional team, you will co-ordinate the creation and tracking of deliverables like congress planning process steps, HCP logistics and roles and responsibilities around congresses
- You will take over responsibility for initiatives as well as scientific advisory boards needed
- Your aim will be to ensure effective communication and collaboration and escalate issues where appropriate to ensure effective resolution
- You will ensure alignment with corporate objectives and leadership guidance
Your profile:
- You bring a Bachelor degree or higher in a related field. Formal project management education / certification is a plus.
- Ideally you gained initial work experience in the pharmaceutical / biotech or medical device industry in an operational role
- You have excellent interpersonal and engagement skills, as well as the empathy and energy to work in a global multi-disciplinary team on innovative cancer treatments
- You possess strong organizational skills, working with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, as well being able to prioritize effectively
- Finally, in order to be successful, you will be intensely familiar with a variety of planning and tracking tools like excel, asana, sharepoint, MS Project as well as reporting techniques
- As this is an entry position, personal motivation, commitment to novocure's mission and values as well as a strong collaborative mindset are center for this position
- Requirement to travel international up to 20%
