Structured Originator

**Main Purpose**:The Carbon Structured Originator is responsible for the growth and further development of the customer business with a focus on Carbon products as well as the expansion of the origination business for Trafigura. The role will be responsible for the development and implementation of long-term projects strategy, in conjunction with the Global Head of Carbon Trading.

- At least 5 years’ experience in carbon/agri markets with expertise in business development
- A detailed and technical understanding of the Carbon markets
- Experience in driving transactions from idea to closure through all approvals
- Experience of technical and regulatory analysis of the carbon markets
- Existing network in the Agri and/or Carbon markets
- High degree of commercial focus and strong business acumen

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaboration and management of technical, research, and policy teams to ensure thorough due diligence of deals and monitoring throughout project delivery
- Creation of processes and systems to ensure streamlining of deal process and post-deal monitoring and audit
- Manage financing strategy, in coordination with STF and M&A teams
- Originate and manage project owner relationships
- Close collaboration with traders to maximize return profiles for offtake while enhancing optionality for trading desks
- Manage fund relationships for alternative capital financing opportunities
- Trafigura internal and external stakeholder engagement as required

**Department**
- This position will sit within the Carbon Trading team, this is a global team with product specialists supporting the various tradings desks in Geneva and globally and providing analysis based on fundamental and technical data. This position will be focussed on the Global Carbon markets.

- Reporting directly to Global Head of Carbon Trading
