Paediatric Occupational Therapist

Job Description_

**The Occupational Therapist **will be an integral member of the ZIS Faculty working closely with the Individualised Learning Provision (ILP) Coordinator and the Head of Student Support. The therapist will provide 1-1 therapy for students and also provide screenings and OT support for other teachers.***
- Key Requirements***

- degree in Occupational Therapy

- minimum of 2 years post-grad experience

- experience working in a school setting
***:

- experience working with children with moderate to intensive complex needs
***:

- fluent English speaker
***:

- German language an advantage

- Key Responsibilities***

***:

- Administer OT screenings, full assessments and re-assessments to students from EC to Grade 9
***:

- Develop and implement treatment plans with tailored realistic but challenging goals for students needing individual or small group therapy
***:

- Develop home programmes for practice and assist in the implementation of classroom support strategies
***:

- Write reports in order to secure external funding, for eg. Gemeinde/insurance
***:

- Remain active and informed of current professional research and practice to ensure best supported practices in the instruction and care of children are used, sharing and consulting with teachers as needed
***:

- Monitor progress and write regular reports for current caseload, setting new goals as appropriate
***:

- Initiate and actively nurture positive relationships with all stakeholders
***:

- Communicate directly and collaboratively with students, parents and teachers on a regular basis
