**We are looking to hire an Estimator who will be responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we know everything required to successfully bid and win projects. The Estimator must proactively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received. Estimators also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.**

**What we are looking for**:

- 5-15 years cost estimating experience in Life Sciences including a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business or Finance
- If no degree - extensive experience in cost estimating
- Computer based estimating software experience, e.g. Icarus, KBase
- Work experience from cost bench-marking would be an advantage
- Provide Level 1 & 2 cost estimates for upstream and downstream projects and opportunities.
- Review and validate cost estimates prepared by contractors and technical disciplines within the Client organization
- Coordinate costing of complex projects
- Bench-marking for validation and target-setting on major projects
- Perform cost risk analysis
- For each estimate class, determine (from existing Client suite of tools and techniques):

- Appropriate estimating techniques (bench-marking, parametric modelling, detailed estimating, etc.)
- Appropriate estimating tool (client tools, customized estimating spreadsheets, industry estimating software, bench-marking, etc.)
- Appropriate methodology for dealing with uncertainties (standard contingency factors, probabilistic estimating techniques, etc.)
- Participate in updates of in-house estimating tools
- Maintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of “Best Practices” in estimating
- Must have a “Team attitude”, be self-motivated and be willing to support other groups and projects when required
- Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills
- Fluent in German & English (written & spoken)
- Strategic thinking skills
