**Senior Systems Engineer - Postfix Admin**

**Overview of contract**

On behalf of our client, an IT Consultancy company in Zürich, we are looking for a Senior System Engineer - Postfix Admin. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and functionality of our client's global SMTP, Mail host, and Postfix infrastructure.

**Location**: Zürich

**Start date**: ASAP

**Duration**:12 Months

**Main responsibilities**

- Providing Level 3 (L3) support for SMTP, Mail host, and Postfix infrastructure on a global scale.
- Conducting rigorous stability, configuration, and integration tests to ensure optimal performance.
- Supporting migration efforts to new hardware and software releases.
- Expertly troubleshooting issues related to SMTP, Mail host, Postfix, UNIX/Linux, Exchange server (on-premises and Microsoft Cloud).

**Your skills**:

- A strong and proven understanding, backed by several years of experience, in Unix/Linux, SMTP/Mailhost, Postfix, and Exchange 2010/2016.
- Extensive hands-on experience in the installation, configuration, testing, and operation of SMTP/Mailhosts.
- Proficiency in Windows Server 2012/2016, Unix/Linux, and Exchange.
- Strong grasp of Unix/Linux and Windows high availability concepts.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Shell/Perl.
- In-depth understanding of configuration distributions within an SMTP/Mailhost environment.
- Sound knowledge of MS Exchange 2016, Exchange Online, and the MS Outlook client.
- A track record of contributing to large IT projects.
- Prior experience in large companies with complex IT infrastructure, preferably within the finance industry.
- Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records.
- Excellent proficiency in German and English.
