**Venture Capital Investment Manager - Robotics and Discrete Automation**:

**Your responsibilities**:

- Work with RA, division, and business line management to identify areas for start-up investments, in line with defined strategy. Align start-up strategy with partner/eco-system strategy.
- Screen for potential investment targets in line with defined start-up strategy, prioritize targets together with business management, develop and maintain investment target pipeline. Build relationship with start-up eco-system, universities, institutes, incubators/accelerators, and other venture capital entities to identify and source investment opportunities.
- Lead strategic and business analyses of start-up investment projects. Support business management in development of strategic rationale and business plan. Lead due diligence projects and negotiate critical deal terms. Work with other relevant functions, esp. legal.
- Serve on boards of RA portfolio companies as non-executive Director and guide their growth. Ensure close monitoring and steering of companies invested in by placing ABB representatives in relevant decision bodies/boards.
- Build up and institutionalize RA Venture capabilities and reputation to create and manage a portfolio of start-up investments.

**Your background**:

- University degree and minimum 6 years of job experience in related areas
- Good understanding of relevant markets, customers, technology, and competition
- Strong in analyses and structured thinking, including business modelling
- Project management - incl. ability to lead teams of senior managers
- Proven experience in executing start-up investment projects, including negotiation skills
- Clear communication in internal and external discussions and presentations
- International experience
- Profound financial and capital transaction knowledge
