We are a team of passionate coffee lovers who have been at the forefront of Switzerland’s specialty coffee scene for fifteen years. Our vision from day one has been to make great coffee (ie roasting and serving) and to do this in a way that is respectful to all the stakeholders in the coffee chain.
The roastery is an integral part of our business and supports our coffee shops, the retail channels (in shop and on-line) as well as our growing B2B and B2W operations.
We are on the lookout for a talented and passionate human to join our growing roasting team in Carouge on the journey to democratize specialty coffee.
The Skills we are looking for:
**Roasting Experience**:Several years of experience working as a coffee roaster; and being familiar with all operational aspects of a roasting
**Education / Training**: Successful completion of SCA or similar roasting courses
**Technical proficiency**: Ability to effectively use and adjust roasting equipment. Creating coffee recipes with notable aromatic identities
**Coffee knowledge**: In-depth understanding of coffee varieties, flavor profiles, and roasting methods and knowledge of the Swiss coffee market
**Sensory skills**:Ability to sensorially evaluate roasted coffee to detect flavor, aroma, and texture nuances. Identifying improvements to be made to the product
**Flexibility**: Ability to adapt to variable working hours and job task requirements based on business needs
**Team player and customer-centric mind set**: Ability to work efficiently within a team and communicate collaboratively with team members, and focus on customer needs and satisfaction
