Plan, review and define Carbon utilization technologies, assess hydrogen technologies and define best in class technologies to determine the most profitable way to valorize CO2 in cement operations.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Review, evaluate and define Carbon Utilization and hydrogen technologies to increase valorization of CO2 in our operations, revisit the utilization of CO2 potential in the CO2 world.
- Study carbon utilization technologies & hydrogen utilization case by case and find the best-in-class solutions.
- Define technical barriers to enhance carbon utilization & hydrogen technologies, evaluate potential risk of integration and coordinate with carbon capture experts.
- Leverage existing external network and relationships to commercialize products across the market.
- Working to conceptualize, propose, and execute carbon utilization projects and use of hydrogen across CEMEX sites / facilities.
- Define hydrogen technologies to be integrated and used for carbon valorization.
- Leading the carbon utilization arm, utilizing leadership skills to drive strategy, sales and business development.
**Position Challenges**:
- Relaying, transmitting and pitching technological knowledge to non-experts.
- Achieve peers recognition in the field to be able to assess and discriminate hydrogen and utilization technologies.
- Maintain & evolve an internal networking with external utilization networks, enhance an internal network with operations & sustainability.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor degree or master in science, chemical engineering, material or petroleum engineering
- Advanced English language skills
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access
- Technical skills:
- +3 years of experience with direct exposure to hydrogen and carbon utilization projects
- Fluent in English, Spanish as a good asset
- Deep knowledge and experience working in carbon valorization and hydrogen related industries, especially with contacts within industrial gas companies, oil & gas companies,
- Technical background and competency to understand the technological environment
- Demonstrated build-up/project management skills
- Solid technical understanding and capability to articulate carbon utilization and hydrogen market to non-experts
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
- Willingness to travel on a regular basis (both domestically and internationally) - up to 50%
