The state-of-the-art multi-purpose manufacturing facility is designed for large-scale production of biologics and has high expansion potential. After completion of construction activities, our site in Lengnau will offer highly flexible biomanufacturing technologies, from development to large-scale production including stainless steel equipment to meet our customer needs.
**Position Summary**:
The position holder will be responsible for purchasing activities, including basic purchase order data entry, supplier selection and negotiation for price, quality, timeliness of delivery, specifications, value improvement programs, contract administration, year-end standard reconciliation, purchase price variance, and purchase order execution. Provides internal and external customers with price quotes in a timely manner. Follows up on damaged product and files freight claims with common carriers. Ensures that billing is accurate according to contract specifications. Meets inventory goals, manages tracking systems, and acts as a liaison to other departments.
Serves as the operational buyer for managing planned material order, MRO material, including managing intercompany movement of goods. Service as operational buyer for managing and reviewing including negotiation Purchase requisition in SAP. Uses Catalyst as Initiator and Procurement SME to onboard new necessary vendors to the LGN organization. Delivers also services related to invoice management with Catalyst.
Operational procurement process (Ariba, SAP)
- Create/check purchase requisition, convert into Procurement Order and send the document to the vendor.
- Manage order confirmation and request for certificates
- Manage the return, rework, and scrap procurement material process
- Coordinate invoices with accounts payable, negotiate with suppliers, and file claims with carriers in case of damage
- Maintain procurement master data in SAP/Ariba.
Contract management
- Analyzes and compares commercial proposals, develops and executes negotiation strategies.
- Prepares these contracts for suppliers.
- Check legal content of vendor contract with our internal legal department
- Manages all new and existing contracts/agreements.
Relationship and Vendor Management
- Develops risk/performance management of current & potential new suppliers
- Maintains optimal supplier base through the use of risk management
- Monitor business trends and product and service availability to pay the best price for goods and services without sacrificing quality
General Tasks:
- Promotes good relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Collaborates with local and global working and project groups
- Performs Administrative tasks
- Trains the organization and support users along regulations, processes, policies and systems
- Ensures Sourcing & Procurement procedures, rules, regulations, commitments and savings are met.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or equivalent advanced degree preferred
- Fluent in German and English (C1)
- 2 years of Procurement and Sourcing experience
- Experience in the Pharma Industry as a plus
- Product knowledge tied to experience
