The role focuses on the development of the P&C underwriting planning system, including the financial projections and the natural catastrophe planning as well. As a transformation manager you will further improve the methodology; the data; together with the validation process and reporting capabilities and provide live analytics during the underwriting planning process.

This position can be based in Zurich, London or Paris.

Steer the development of the new planning tool, in particular
- take a leading role in the software architecture design collaborate with IT to find the best possible system-solution by using modern technologies for Reinsurance and Specialty Insurance
- act as a project manager to deliver a successful planning tool and process
- specify business requirements to the programmers based on user feedback
- embed the development needs of the various functions in the process (Reinsurance Underwriting, Specialty Insurance, Accumulation, in addition to Finance needs) in line with constantly changing business requirements and data landscape
- manage the testing work together with other business analysts, SMEs and IT-professionals
- collaborate with the underwriting and other stakeholders (by engaging in regular dialogues and organizing workshops) to implement new features in line with business needs

Contribute to the design of the various Reinsurance projects and strategic initiatives in line with Business Transformation roadmap for Reinsurance. In particular:

- Coordinate standardization and continuous improvement initiatives within Reinsurance
- Depending on projects, be directly involved on the execution or through project managers
- Be an active contributor and team player within P&C Business Transformation team

Develop solutions for data-driven business insights with Middle-Office and support advanced analytics (including machine learning) and automatization initiatives in Reinsurance

Own the P&C business unit’s reporting segmentation processes by ensuring integrity and stability of the reporting granularity
- propose solutions to business needs and
- manage their implementation
- participate to the bi-annual Omega deliveries (either by testing new features requested or simply performing non-regression testing)

**Experience**:

- Practical experience in software development and data management
- Project manager skills are essential
- Good understanding of data models and designs, developing and executing SQL scripts on complex data models

Capabilities
- Technical capabilities in statistical programming and some understanding of actuarial concepts ( e.g. R or Python and data visualization packages)
- Proficiency in IT tools so that understanding and use of SCOR GPC’s systems is fast and easy as well as in Excel, Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau and PowerPoint;
- Experience with Domino and Databricks platforms is a plus

- Strong communication skills and a solution-oriented approach towards business problems and process improvements

**Education**:

- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, applied mathematics or related fields, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector, in a technical function (actuarial, modelling or underwriting support)
- Actuarial background is an advantage
