At our site in the idyllic location Visp we are looking for a Scientist to join our team in the analytical Quality Control department (Physico Chemical Analytics). You will be responsible to manage analytical projects, meaning ensuring that the laboratory and laboratory technicians are prepared and ready to carry out physico-chemical analysis for our various customers.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Scientific management of existing projects, as well as implementation, transfer and validation of new analytical methods with a focus on PhysChem (e.g. pH, UV)
- Technical expertise in technical and analytical issues, as well as processing of investigations, change requests and deviations under cGMP
- Planning and shared responsibility for carrying out release analysis
- Extraction and evaluation of analytical data, as well as writing reports and presentations
- Creation, review and release of documents to ensure compliance with official guidelines
- Representative for project-specific inquiries in customer audits and official inspections
- On-call service with pre-arranged assignments as part of the on-call service
**Key requirements**:
- MSc or PhD in Life Science
- Work experience in the pharmaceutical / biotechnological Quality Control (QC) in a GMP regulated environment is a very strong advantage
- You are a highly organized person, able to communicate complex scientific context to stakeholders with various backgrounds. You enjoy working in a dynamic environment with many different people and you proactively reach out to people and alert if you anticipate challenges etc. arising
- Fluency in English is a must. Language skills in German is a plus
