In order to reinforce the Production team in Basel we are currently recruiting for a
**Workshop Supervisor - Production**

Our Sheet Metal Shop is part of the Production Organization next to the Cabinet, Electro, Upholstery, Finishing and Composite Shops. The shop is split into the following groups like Production Line, Machine Shop, Complex Assembly & Water System, and Kitting Team. To reinforce our Shop structure, performance, and capability we are looking for a new partially hands-on Supervisor who led the Production Line Team.

The Supervisor Production line manufacture with his team typical Sheet Metal Parts from raw material sheets, plates, and Profiles. In his responsibility are also the manual machinery park, heat treatment oven and processes, the conversion coating galvanic and part marking process. Next to this, we are looking for a person with high skillset in terms of different fasteners usage - especially riveting - and manual sheet metal forming experience in terms of high-class decorative parts.

Purpose / objective of the position:

- Supervises Production Technicians within the Sheet Metal Production Shop.
- Supervises and organizes production plan work of his dedicated Production Technician Team in accordance with Project Schedule and given budget.
- Works actively and in good intelligence within the Production and Installation Organization Team.

Description/Tasks:

- Supervise, motivate, and guide permanent or temporary assigned staff to achieve given objectives and goals.
- Prepares resource allocation, long term resource planning and weekly production planning of his/her team in conjunction with Project Schedule and given budget.
- Distributes work tasks to his/her technicians in accordance with their qualification and grade.
- Liaises with the internal customers and providers (Engineering, Production Shops, Final Assembly Line, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Method Office and Support Departments ) on problems / modifications.
- Ensures the correct use of tools and equipment.
- Ensures and controls quality, conformity, reliability and traceability in a continuous improvement and lean manufacturing environment.
- Develops and/or improves working processes and core competences of his/her team.
- Supports, Industrial Method Office and Engineering for product development & prototyping.
- Supervises major repairs and modifications on released Components, Sub-Assemblies, and Main Assemblies.
- Interpret Design Material Specifications and 3D/2D engineering drawings to ensure finished product is in accordance with requirements and meets Customer quality expectations.
- Implements any corrective action resulting from audits (internal and external)
- Supervises technicians to maintain a clean and safe work area (5S) and adheres to all safety and environmental regulations and requirements.
- Update’s production status of all Projects Critical Path Production plans.
- Encourages job skill development and personal growth within the team.
- Ensures the training and competencies of his /her technicians to Jet Aviation procedures, technical instructions and aviation regulations.
- Develops and implements technical process improvements that increase safety, reduce cost and cycle time.
- Estimates labors hours, Material quantity and evaluate work packages.
- Supports Production Conformity Inspections and takes all necessary actions to correct deviations.

Qualification/Experience:

- Demonstrated Leadership skills; to Lead up to 20 Employees.
- Experience in a similar leading position aspect of the aviation business.
- Knowledge in reading & understanding 3D Models & 2D manufacturing drawing and Assemblies.
- Knowledge and understanding within Part 145, P21J and Part 21G regulations will be beneficial
- Completed apprenticeship with appropriate educational qualifications or equivalent experience in Sheet Metal Manufacturing, Spengler.
- Or High School Technical diploma or equivalent.
- Master Craftsman.
- Leadership skills, ability to manage a team.
- Sense of responsibilities, ability to make decisions.
- Highly flexible and proactive.
- Professional behaviour and demeanor and discipline.
- Ability to work and stay calm under pressure.
- Elementary basic finance knowledge.

Excellent English required (Verbal & written) Basic French & German beneficial
