PROJECT BUYER PURCHASING

Bobst Mex site is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to take on the dynamic role of Purchasing Project Buyer.
In this role, you will report directly to the Head of Purchasing BSA and be responsible for NPI and Purchase projects of modules, major components, being the main interlocutor between internal stakeholders and purchasing function: R&D, Supply chain, buyers, support functions, top management, project manager and finance.
The role of a Project Buyer is to anticipate the specific requirements and cater for innovative solutions to NPI and Purchase projects of modules, major components to ensure the commodity strategy is appropriate to support the project.
The role continues to select, pilot and develop suppliers to become the most efficient and successful partners to obtain project objectives and optimal TCO.
The Project Buyer drives and executes sourcing activities in cross-functional product and product development projects and delivers on commitments in order to assure the sourcing part in new product and on Project.
ls responsible for Purchasing deliverables within the scope of projects according to Bobst PDP (Product Development Process).
Responsible to achieve the Project Cost target and on time start / delivery.
Proactively coordinate, innovate and evaluate opportunities throughout all phases of the projects (R&D innovation, concept, Make or Buy).
Coordinate and make sure that strategic sourcing activities being managed within the required activities.
Promote the strategies in place by commodity, make the risk assessments and ensure Total Cost of Ownership throughout all activities.
Contribute to the conception of the quotation to supplier and internal stakeholders; involve expert suppliers in the early project phase.
Support sales and engineering with project cost / pricing objectives in close cooperation with the Commodity Buyer and up-to-date process know-how.
Ensure on-time supplier selection and that the selection of supplier is in line with Bobst strategic supplier development and meets the on time and cost targets within the project, NPI.
Negotiate or participate with the commodity buyer in supplier negotiations and the final choice of supplier.
Direct performance follow-up during the project phase: manage suppliers, compare costs with objectives, ensure quality during the project phase' respect delivery deadlines and in particular ensure that the project phase reviews, or
reviews are supported within the framework of the New Product Introduction Process (NPl).
Ensure early involvement of the category buyers.
Manage specific mandated suppliers when requested and agreed with customers.
Establish contracts with new supply bases (Partner/OEM) as needed and in alignment with category buyers and strategies.
Contribute to the success of projects by positioning purchasing as a vital function during decisions.
Propose innovative solutions, based on a good understanding of the supplier market, able to bring added value on products, processes.
Contract negotiation with selected partner / supplier by respecting contract group policies and commodity strategies.
Innovate in a structural way the working methodologies in line with the Bobst group purchasing and supply chain policies that may be updated accordingly.
Leading and influencing sourcing within the addressed category or products.
Make or Buy. Identify opportunities and innovate throughout the projects the optimal business setup by demonstrating for the management by the use of a clear TCO documented business case if buying or making the item in question.
Ensure a transparent and efficient collaboration between colleagues in the purchasing team and cross functionally.
Preparation and analysis on global / regional supplier pre-selection, negotiation and communicate.
Experience: 4 - 6 years’ experience as industrial purchaser in an international environment.
Personal skills : multi-cultural and out of the box understanding, innovative, curious, reliable, trustworthy, honest, sense of priority, rigorous, autonomous, pragmatic, tactic, able to work on a matrix organization, self-confident team builder, strategic, TCO natural understanding, good communicator and team player.
Working knowledge of business systems (SAP is a plus)
Results and added value oriented
Training: Master in Purchasing or equivalent and strong technical background
Language: English and French fluent, other language a plus.
