- Your day starts with a 15-minute “stand-up” meeting, in which you coordinate with and update your team. Afterwards, you take responsibility at performing controls and working on tasks (stories) that you have picked yourself during a planning meeting in the team. These stories cover a broad spectrum, e.g.:
- you assess upcoming or existing operational risks with regards to services, products, processes and regulatory changes
- you develop and update controls, execution instructions, supporting material (e.g. one-pagers, remediation instructions) and other related documents
- you carry out risk mitigation measures, like trainings (online and live)
- you contribute to performing assessments and reporting to stakeholders
- you work together with colleagues of Business Risk Management and stakeholders of other functions, business units, markets and segments to drive topics forward
- you consider relevant regulations (e.g. FIDLEG and MIFID), internal guidance and policies, as well as risk indicators and reports of other business units to create meaningful solutions
Last but not least, you are frequently in contact with front-staff to discuss control assessments and clarify questions about the advisory process in general.
**Your team**
- We are a self-organized agile pod (team) and part of Business Risk Management at UBS Switzerland. The Advisory Process Pod’s responsibilities include the entire life cycle from conceptual design of an instrument (e.g. a control) and implementation, to operational execution, continuous improvement, and regular reporting of results. We bring our insights forward to train frontline staff and suggest process improvements.
- The pod members work in our offices in Berne, Lausanne, Lugano and Zurich - and there would be a free desk in St. Gallen, too. You can choose from one of these work locations. Combinations with working from home are possible.

**Your expertise**
- experience in the financial sector - preferably in investment advisory, investor protection or business risk management - is mandatory.
- experience in agile methods (Scrum), project or process management is an advantage
- curiosity and loving the challenge to quickly get up to speed with new and complex topics
- you think, act and communicate in a concise and analytical manner, always seeking out data and facts to support your point
- you pay attention to detail without losing sight of the big picture
- you are fluent in English and French (both written and spoken) and have solid German knowledge
