**Your assignment**:
- Own the group-wide Electrodes and Refractory strategy and execute improvement projects
- Link Electrodes and Refractory procurement performance with business needs and requirements from initial need identification to final goods or service delivery
- Establish the right relationships with vendors and negotiate various Electrodes and Refractory supply agreements
- Identify, create, improve, and share of best practices
- Identify and implement initiatives that support our journey towards Green Steel
- Management of procurement staff in a matrix organization and build cross-functional teams to develop the strategies
**Your background**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering or comparable qualification; project management certification is a plus.
- At least 10 years’ experience in procurement and strategic sourcing and 5 years’ experience in Electrodes and/or Refractory Procurement, preferably in an international environment. Excellent knowledge of Electrodes and Refractory and its market. Good knowledge of Lean and/or 6Sigma principles.
- Strong leadership, organizational and change management skills. Efficient, proactive and creative working methodology. Analytically strong and able to prioritize under pressure and manage multiple projects.
- Self-driven, diligent, solution oriented and highly resilient when facing hurdles.
- Strong communicator with a convincing personality, team orientation, stakeholder management competence and intercultural experience.
- High willingness to travel.
