Head of Ipsc

**Contexte**:
The Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois (CHUV) is the largest employer in the canton of Vaud with more than 12,000 employees and where more than 113 nationalities are represented. The CHUV is internationally recognized as one of the best hospitals in the world, taking ninth place in the ranking score in 2021. Thanks to its close collaborations with the University of Lausanne, the Faculty of Biology and Medicine, and other leading academic institutions such as EPFL, the CHUV enjoys a leading role in the fields of care, training and medical research.

The Centre for Psychiatric Neurosciences (CNP) is part of the CHUV’s Psychiatry department and is located within the hospital complex of Cery, situated in an exceptional green setting in the city of Prilly (Western Lausanne). The CNP created to promote the translational research in Psychiatric Neuroscience bringing together both researchers and clinicians. A dedicated building of 2500m2 spread over 5 levels was inaugurated at the end of 2018. The center benefits of the state-of-the-art equipment shared by a dozen research teams working in close collaboration with clinicians. Several cohorts of patients with major psychiatric disorders, such as severe depression, bipolar illness and schizophrenia, and their at-risk children have been recruited over 20 years at the DP-CHUV. These cohorts, for which the participants have been finely evaluated from a clinical point of view, are quite unique internationally and are already involved in various translational research projects, which aim in particular to better understand the pathophysiology of these major psychiatric disorders.

**Mission**:

- Conduct and participate to the generation of IPSC lines
- Ensure the proper functioning of the biobank
- Establish biological techniques to generate and characterize IPSCs within the framework of service projects
- Support, train and supervise the staff and users of the platform
- Conduct the administrative part (consumables management, orders, pricing of services to users, operational organization...)
- Ensure scientific and technological monitoring in relation to the platform's activities
- Write procedures and reports
- Lead committees or seminars to participate in the development of the platform
- Participate in research projects involving the platform.
- Vous produisez, caractérisez et gérez les stocks des lignées IPSC
- Vous assurez le bon fonctionnement des biobanques
- Vous établissez dans le cadre de projets de prestations, des techniques biologiques pour générer et caractériser les IPSCs
- Vous accompagnez et formez le personnel et les utilisateurs de la plateforme
- Vous gérez la partie administrative (gestion consommable, commandes, tarification des services aux utilisateurs, organisations opérationnelles )
- Assurez la veille scientifique et technologique en lien avec les activités de la plateforme
- Vous rédigez les procédures et les comptes-rendus des prestations effectuées
- Vous animez des comités ou séminaires pour participer au développement de la plateforme
- Vous participez à des projets de recherche impliquant la plateforme et ses IPSCs.

**Profil**:

- Engineer or PhD in Cellular and/or Molecular Biology
- At least 2-3 years experience in IPSC culture
- Experience working in a platform, as well as knowledge of cell imaging are a plus.
- Vous êtes en possession d'un diplôme d'ingénieur ou PhD en Biologie cellulaire et/ou moléculaire ou titre équivalent
- Vous avez au moins 2 à 3 ans d’expérience de culture IPSC
- Une expérience de travail en plateforme est un plus.
