Junior Microbiologist

1. Overall responsibilities This position is responsible for monitoring of cleanrooms, water systems and product cleanliness under close supervision. This position also assists, under close supervision, in tasks related to the sterilization, if applicable. The junior Microbiologist ensures with close support from the supervisor compliance to the applicable FDA (QSR) regulations, Canadian Medical Device Regulation (CMDR), Medical Device Directive (MDD), ISO 13485 as well as other applicable Sterilization regulations e.g. ISO standards, AAMI standards/reports and guidance documents as required.

2. Position duties and responsibilities
- Under close supervision coordinates the tests required for the Jabil contamination control program (clean room monitoring, water monitoring, compressed air monitoring) - Under close supervision performs the required product monitoring activities (e.g. bioburden, dose audit) in compliance to procedures - Provides guidance and training to personnel as needed to ensure the environmental monitoring program requirements, as well as good manufacturing and good documentation practices are met - Under close supervision provides performs compliance tasks (e.g. nonconformities) and may be involved in external and internal audits - Under close supervision assists in validation of processed water systems, controlled environment rooms, and product cleaning processes - Under close supervision may support sterilization validation (e.g. for new product introduction or manufacturing and design changes) - Under close supervision provides input for risk assessments from a contamination control perspective

Travel up to 30-40% to other production sites within Jabil Healthcare DACH sites

Education Requirements - Bachelor's degree in microbiology/biology or equivalent

Experience: - Initial professional experience in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry an advantage
