Textile Engineering Internship

**Position Overview**:
**Qualifications and Personal Qualities**:

- Interest in composite manufacturing and materials science.
- Experience with technical and/or natural fibre yarns and têxtile.
- Knowledge on fibre preparation, spinning and weaving, especially with bast fibres. Experience with dyeing is a plus.
- Driving curiosity for independent problem solving.
- Able to work autonomously and share relevant information with the team.
- Structured way of working with an ability to handle many projects in parallel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. French or German is a plus.

**Main tasks and responsabilities**:
The list below is meant to illustrate the tasks you might be asked to do. It is not fixed and can be dis-cussed with Bcomp depending on your strength and Bcomp’s needs.
- Support R&D and quality teams in yarns and têxtiles validation for production / _Skills: Textile characterisation methods, QMS._
- Support R&D and quality teams in characterisation of dyed yarns and fabrics / _Skills: spectrophotometer, dyeing processes._
- Evaluate suitability of new yarn categories for composite in light of customers’ requirements / _Skills: Textile characterisation methods, composite manufacturing and characterisation._
- Evaluate suitability of new weaves for composite in light of our customers’ requirement /_Skills: weaving, composite manufacturing and characterisation._
- Develop measurement methods for fibres’ properties characterisation /_Skills: Textile characterisation methods, bast fibres._

**We offer**:

- 1’500 CHF / month gross salary (pro rata)
- 2.5 weeks paid vacation for 6 months (pro rata)
