Paper Freight Trader

**Your Job**
Koch Minerals & Trading is seeking a **Paper Freight Trader**to join our team

**Our Team**

This position will play a key role in supporting Koch Minerals & Trading's global trading business.

**What You Will Do**
- Develop and execute profitable paper freight trading strategies that achieve an acceptable return.
- Execute physical paper flow for both the capesize and panamax physical desks.
- Collaborate with other members of the freight team - we trade a global book.
- Participate in effective challenge around point-of-view/position/game plan/strategy
- Perform analysis and engage with physical freight traders to ensure knowledge transfer and consistency of positions
- Build and manage r relationships, focusing both external FFA participants and internal via cross desk collaboration.
- Communicate freight market knowledge within the organization.
- Maintain 100% compliance.

**Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)**
- Significant experience in the FFA market and/or freight analysis.
- Strong understanding of dry commodity transportation.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Direct experience in trading FFAs.
- Critical thinking skills and a risk-taking mentality
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work with a wide variety of people.
- Flexibility (on call to make decisions 24 hours per day 7 days per week).
