GEA Aseptomag AG in Kirchberg near Bern, a company of the GEA Group AG, develops and produces components, systems, and equipment for the food and pharmaceutical industries. We are looking to complement our team at the Kirchberg site (in the canton of Bern) immediately or by agreement with a Director of Financial Controlling (m/f/d) in a full-time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Board Membership: Act as a member of the Board of Directors for two Kirchberg-based companies with full P&L responsibility.
  • Team Management: Supervise and guide a team of two employees.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage financial accounting, reporting, and compliance for both companies.
  • Reporting: Prepare key financial figures for decision-making.
  • Financial Planning: Develop budgets and financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Financial Statements: Lead the preparation of financial statements in compliance with Swiss regulations and IFRS standards.
  • Tax and Compliance: Handle VAT settlements, tax returns, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Risk Management: Oversee company insurance and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Data Protection: Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  • Investments: Prepare applications for investments and bank guarantees.
  • Internal Controls: Implement Internal Control Systems (ICS) for operational integrity.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate with internal audit departments.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field. Advance Degree (e.g., MBA, CPA, CFA) preferred.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in finance and administration management.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss financial regulations, IFRS standards, and tax laws.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in English and German
