You’ll join a collaborative team dedicated to modernizing our infrastructure with a cloud-first approach while ensuring seamless integration with traditional network systems. Our mission is to create a high-performing, secure, and automated network environment that supports our organizational goals and operational continuity. In this role, you will play a key part in designing and managing cloud-based infrastructure, optimizing hybrid cloud environments, and implementing automation solutions that streamline both cloud and on-premises operations.Our team thrives on innovation and continuous improvement, fostering a culture where collaboration, technical excellence, and learning are encouraged. We value open communication and teamwork, and we strive to push the boundaries of what’s possible by staying ahead of the latest trends in networking, cloud, and automation.Your Key Tasks:Design and manage hybrid cloud networks: build and maintain both cloud-based and traditional LAN/WAN environments, focusing on Cisco routers, switches, and Checkpoint firewalls.Automate infrastructure with IaC tools: leverage Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform to automate network and cloud infrastructure provisioning and management.Cloud and DevOps integration: work closely with DevOps teams to integrate cloud platforms, particularly Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), with existing systems, ensuring seamless operations.On-Call support for critical issues: participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot and resolve high-priority network and cloud issues to ensure smooth business operations.Ensure security and compliance: implement and maintain security protocols across both cloud and traditional network systems, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.QualificationsProven expertise in networking and cloud technologies: hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, Checkpoint firewalls, and cloud platforms like OCI, Azure, or AWS.Automation and IaC Proficiency: expertise in automating network infrastructure using Terraform or similar tools.Hybrid cloud experience: solid background in managing hybrid cloud environments and traditional network systems.Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, and cloud certifications (OCI, Azure, AWS) are required.Strong communication and documentation skills: ability to effectively explain technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.It would be a real bonus if you have:SDWAN knowledge: Experience with SDWAN integration, though not essential, would be beneficial.DevOps knowledge: previous experience working closely with DevOps teams to deploy and manage cloud environments.Additional InformationWe realize that managing work life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices. In Avaloq we are proud to embrace diversity and understand the success of our business is built on the power of different opinions, we are whole heartedly committed to fostering an equal opportunity environment and inclusive culture where you can be your true authentic self. We hire, compensate and promote regardless of origin, age, gender identity, sexual orientation or any other fantastic traits that make us all unique, we have done our best to write this advert in an inclusive and neutral way. Please be aware that we will not accept speculative CV submissions for any of our roles from recruitment agencies, and any unsolicited candidate submissions will be exempt from any payment expectations.
